In 1980 Ursula and Ulrich Maeder register Polymax Group Company Ltd. in Macao. The Company sources garments for European clients and developes its strong expertise in silk.
1983
As founding president Ulrich Maeder establishes the German Mercantile Community in Shanghai 1983, which is the forerunner of the renown German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
1994
Polymax opens its state-of-the art production facility with a modern sample studio in Ningbo. This enables the company to produce high quality garments while attaining short lead-times.
2001
Polymax opens its modern and spacious city office with several show-rooms in the central business district of Shanghai Pudong. Polymax starts offering business support and consulting services.
2002
Polymax is officially awarded with the Golden Magnolia prize by the Zhejiang Province for its exemplary business conduct as most social company.
2006
Ulrich Maeder, Chairman of Polymax Group is awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon by the German President for his efforts to strengthen the Chinese-German economic relations.
